Chris Spratling, a Business Life Coach from Chalk Hill Blue very kindly offered to help us with our 5 year charity plan. An offer that we snapped up; such independent expertise is invaluable as well as very much welcomed.
Chris spent 2 days helping Trustees and Staff brainstorm and plan for the next 5 years growth of Young People And Children First. One day back in November and another this week. Both days, and the homework that we were set in-between, has been very productive. There's still work to be done and we're lucky to have Chris's ongoing support should we need him to come back to help us further with this.
Thanks again Chris, really appreciate your time, skills and effort.

Some pictures of our young people and Amy one of our support staff. They are enjoying a night out at Lakeside Bowling alley.
This was a Christmas treat paid for by KPMG who are based in Theale they paid for the young people to enjoy bowling followed by a nice meal. This sort of treat is always much appreciated as it encourages team building amongst the young people and helps them to gain more respect for the support staff and a better working relationship.
BNI Bourne a business networking group who meet at Double tree Hilton at junction 13 by Chieveley services every Thursday morning. This chapter support YPACF Charity. Patsy is invited to attend the chapter breakfast business meeting each week and is able to give a 60second presentation on the work of the charity. Every few weeks she has the opportunity to give a 10min presentation.
Last Thursday 17.1.19 Patsy roped her husband John in to act as a young person. Together they were able to give a power point demonstration on the Outcome Star to demonstrate how we help our young people move forward with their own lives.
On10 January Anthony Fleming had a meeting with Sebastian Court who is the Business Manager at Metro Bank in Newbury. We discussed how the bank could support YPACF and he agreed to support us with their initiative “Day to Amaze” which in a nutshell is:
The bank staff volunteer to support worthy causes with their time. For example, with painting a room or house. Accompanying us on outings. Gardening…. etc. Many of them would volunteer their own time, however the Day to Amaze scheme provides them with the option of claiming hours back from the bank.
Patsy, the founder of Young People and Children First charity, based in Newbury Berkshire, gives her New Year thanks and wishes to all our supporters.
Listen to what Patsy has to say to all those who support YPACP or you can read the transcript below.

As it’s the start of the New Year 2019 my husband John and I as founders of this charity would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our supporters a very Happy, Health and Prosperous New Year, also to say a big heartfelt thank you to all of you who have given us money, time or even goods over the last year. We get no Government or Local Council funding so appreciate all of your kindness and generosity. Without all of you we just couldn’t continue do what we do. Once again a big thank you.
