Thank you to Malcom from "Sport in mind" and Thatcham Table Tennis Club, for very kindly giving our young residents free entry and instruction each week ... They love it !
A past resident who lived at Cornerstone 5 years ago, has done amazingly well since leaving us going from strength to strength. He is now a qualified mechanic and has just last week won a prize for being 3rd overall in his class B auto-solo championship.
Congratulations from everyone at the charity, we are all very proud of what he has achieved since leaving us and know he is going to go on and achieve even more great things in the future.
Our young people were very excited and pleased to receive their gifts Christmas morning, and enjoyed their Christmas dinner too.
Thank you to everyone who donated gifts and food for our young residents this year, and for all your support through out the year.
Our young people had a day out, ice skating at Winchester Yesterday. It was a bit chilly but they soon warmed up and had a great time. A massive thank you to Chris Spratling from BNI Newbury for donating the funds to make this happen.
We had Christmas trees donated and delivered to both our charity houses last week - this is one of our residents helping to bring them in. A BIG thank you to John Starkey from BNI who organised it all.
We were at the Christmas lights turn on in Thatcham on Friday with our stall and publicity boards. It was a cold evening but our young people came and helped out Patsy and John with setting up the stall and helping through the evening.
This is one of our new residents volunteering at the wildlife trust on his first week living at Cornerstone. This is one of our aims, to get our young residents into volunteering, work or education - great job!
Ex-resident and now a support worker with YPACF, went along with the manager to visit and
up-date one of our Biggest supporters this week… KPMG
Lynn and Victoria were delighted to meet this young man, as they have helped to support him and others for the past few years.
Suletman was pleased to tell them he had really enjoyed all of the generous and lovely Christmas presents he has received over the years and how much he will miss the excitement this year! They have however promised him a box of his favourite chocolates for doing so well…
Welcome to our new support worker Steph...
This was her first shift working alongside our young people - it went really well as you can see. Steph hopes she will make a difference to young people's life's in her new role with us.
