This week our young people were invited to The Woodspeen restaurant and cookery school, with Owner and Michelin Chef, John Campbell. John put together lessons on budget shopping, storing food and cooking lessons, our young people cooked soup, chicken casserole, chicken curry and bolognese.
On Friday they will go back and tackle deserts, with a plan from John who also gave one of our young people a budget to buy ingredients for a family recipe she remembers when she was small, and, if successful, he has promised to put it on the Woodspeen menu. How fantastic is that. We now have a very excited young lady in the house. Small things to some can honestly make such a big difference to others.
Our young people have benefited so much from this support and help with budget cooking.
